The use of LED technology reduces electricity costs and overall energy consumption. The main advantage of LED lighting is that it’s energy-efficient and, for this reason, seen as environmentally friendly. Compared to standard lighting, LED fixtures use up to 10 times less electricity without producing any heat.
Designer Outlet Gdańsk uses a centrally-controlled LED system to illuminate the entire interior of the centre and the car park.
We work to minimise our total waste production and encourage recycling. The centre provides appropriate recycling containers.
Designer Outlet Gdańsk welcomes all customers who choose to travel by bike. Bike racks have been set up at all entrances to ensure that you can leave your vehicle safely.
There’s also a free service station for inflating the wheels, checking pressures and so on.
Designer Outlet Gdańsk incorporates a natural area that protects the local insect ecosystem. The meadow in our summer garden is the perfect haven for all sorts of flying insects, such as the mason bee, The walkways in the centre are decorated with potted plants.
Only certified organic products are used for the care and protection of the plants at the centre.
Insects are the foundation of most ecosystems. Some of them pollinate flowers, while others help decompose organic waste. Inspired by their work, we have installed bug hotels around our centre to help our ecosystem remain self-sustaining.
Our main goals include reducing water consumption by using efficient flushing and metering systems and water-saving taps.
Signage encouraging customers to become eco-friendly, promoting using reusable bags, travelling by public transport, and choosing cycling over driving.
A container for unworn clothing and textile fabrics has been installed at the centre. You can leave clothes that are no longer used or needed. When going shopping simply take your clothes with you and toss them into the container. All the collected garments will be reused. Items of the best quality are left in the original condition and resold to second hand shops and the rest are recycled.
The reuse process is supervised by Fundacja Eco Textil.
